IT systems integrationusing ESB and MDM middleware

Logical data warehouses and centralized architectures of data exchange using MDM and ESB systems are among the best practices of the IT systems integration.

Why use ESB?

Any company having two or more IT systems knows the cost of breaking synchronization between them. Lost leads and orders, inactual prices and stock remainders are bearing permanent losses of the time, resources and reputation. The only fundamental solution of these problems is the implementation of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) middleware, preferably in conjunction with MDM system.

The legacy solutions based on ETL, web-services etc are offering only temporal and hardly manageable solution of integration tasks.

ESB implementation

One of the tasks during ESB implementation is the definition of mapping between data structures representing information on the same entities in the different IT systems. This task can be better solved by creating a single generalized, system-independent, enterprise-wide information model. This model can be created most effectively using semantic technologies. Its high quality is essential for the integration process success, achieving flexibility and scalability of the resulting solution.

When the model is complete, it is necessary to define particular mapping rules for its elements and the data structures in the systems which are integrated. The connector interfaces shall be implemented to enable data access according to these mappings. We are ready to plan and perform all the required stages of the integration process, using our own and/or other middleware solutions available on the market.
